What!? My sim got abducted !!

My sim got abducted for the first time since the patch that nerfed the chances. I really wanted him to get pregnant, but it didn't happen.
I really don't like how the chances are so low, It was one of the main reasons I got Get To Work!

Take heart, OP, my first male Sim got abducted, too, finally, but he didn't come back pregnant. I think it's random. Nothing happened when I had a couple who were both scientists. This Sim lives off the land, pretty much, but he does run a retail store of sorts. It was fun, nonetheless, and something I had waited for since we got GTW.

It's really dialed back, which is a shame.

Its still possible to be randomlu abducted but its VERY rare. Knowing aliens, being an alien, having an observatory, collecting spacerocks/aliens, rocket ship, scientist career all increase the chances of abduction.

If he does end up pregnant, once the baby is born you can send to home world and erase him from the wlrld and itll be like he was never born.

If you have a save in which a sim gets abducted, there seems to be a greater chance that other sims will get abducted as well.

My poor sims used to get abducted all of the time before the nerf. This has stopped ever since :)

Same. To the point of major annoyance/game play disruption. I know being abducted is a big deal in the game, aliens & all... I just personally do not find much humor in having my home invaded, being date-plum'd, knocked up against my wishes and left with some green skin baby. :D

I've only had one male Sim be abducted, and of course with my luck he came back pregnant...with twins. Sent them to the home land the second I could. A recent female Sim of mine has been abducted twice, both times returning not pregnant! Thankfully.

I finally had a Sim get abducted and pregnant but that took months and many different Sims had been in the science career. It seems to generate in 'my' game if they have previously worked on the rocket in the science lab. (which they have to be a certain level to start to build it). That may be a trigger in my game or may not. I have no idea anymore. Since the last patch, which must have knocked something loose, four more have been abducted. Two, were not in the career, (husband and wife) not even interested in being abducted. lol

And one other's family (he is in the science career) got abducted a few times.

But none but the one was pregnant. And once the baby is born, it's easy just to hit 'send home' and the Sim will never remember the kid.

But I tried this and didn't like the fact my Sim could still look at the birth certificate and get a good moodlet and excited over an alien child when they had given them up. So, I didn't save and let him keep his new alien boy. It made more sense because of the look on his face when I did make him look at the alien certificate that he should keep the baby and raise it in disguise since he was Doctor Who. :p
