What New Features will there be besides Calendar?

https://i.imgur.com/BlAMdeM.png I was patiently waiting for the winter and fall blog to see if there's any fun *cough* NEW *cough* gameplay activity but all what's mentioned is a calender and drink...

I'm just not seeing "lack of gameplay". Maybe it's more like "not the gameplay I was hoping for"? "not the gameplay I wanted that we had before"? Some concept of gameplay that doesn't include special events, careers, hobbies...? I genuinely don't understand where the "lack" is.
