What New Features will there be besides Calendar?

https://i.imgur.com/BlAMdeM.png I was patiently waiting for the winter and fall blog to see if there's any fun *cough* NEW *cough* gameplay activity but all what's mentioned is a calender and drink...

The thing is the calendar will be something I will use with all my sims, all the time.

Vs. something like suntanning or pie-eating, which I would use once or twice, and then not maybe not much at all.

More "activities" are not as exciting to me as things that are woven throughout their lives and effect their lives everyday (such as the calendar, thermostat, etc.)
