If EA can convince people that minor bug fixes are "new ways to play every month" (yes, a simgura actually said that once responding to simmer asking him why we don't receive new content in some patches) then easily they can convince people that a calendar is the major feature of a weather EP
Referring to the bolded, I keep seeing that particular quote getting misquoted, and it's annoying.
Simguru Grant didn't say that they had invested the most in Summer. What he said was that "So, winter is obviously great. But, I was really delighted how much the team invested in Summer this time. The kiddie pool is ADORABLE." and he was responding to someone asking what
his favourite season was to play with.
Nowhere in that quote does it say that they invested mostly in Summer, it just says that his favourite season to play in is Summer. But somehow it's been misquoted over and over, and now people are seeming to treat the misinterpretation as a fact.
Someone, please correct me if there's been another tweet I've missed where they
have said that they spent the most time on Summer?
In response to your comment about people mentioning Summer features, your original forum title asked if there was any new game play in this pack. People were answering that question with the fact that there obviously
is new game play in this pack. If you just wanted people to tell you what game play is in autumn and winter you should have specified that in the title as it seemed like a sweeping statement.
A lot of us think that the Calendar has tremendous game play potential - far more than deep snow, hail or sunburns, which your sim can only react to. With the calendar, if it is as good as it sounds, you will be able to take a far more active roll in your Sims life and create more realistic story lines.
I am really sorry that you're not as excited for this as a lot of us are, and I really do hope you will find some news in the coming weeks more to your liking. I think more Winter game play will be revealed with the Winter Meet the Climates blog (the Autumn/Fall one hinted at Calendars, Leaf Woo Hoo, particular holidays and new food types before the Autumn Winter blog confirmed it)
ETA: I'm not saying you're annoying, just that the misquoting of that tweet is. In before anyone misunderstands that particular point.
