Mermaids aren't anything to worry about, they're basically non-existent in the game. I think there's one? premade that's a mermaid but shes a homeless sim that rarely appears and you can only tell she's a mermaid when shes in the ocean. I honestly don't even notice mermaids in my game ever and I've placed quite a few in my world
This. My sims lived in Sulani for 2+ generations. I never saw a mermaid. Maybe some of the sims my sims encountered were mermaids, but there's no way to tell from interacting with them normally.
