Seasons is one of my favourite since Sims 2, and it's a pity that isn't in the basegame. Regarding the holiday traditions, I clear or change them before the Holiday arrived, if I don't want to do them. If the traditions are empty, there will be no hard feelings when it's over, the sims may have a free day off and that's all.
I understand. I like the ability to create my own holidays and I've cancelled some of the others when I catch them in time.
The thing is, I play many different households and depending on what I'm playing, I want to keep the holiday in my game for some, but don't want to celebrate it for others. Eventually it just gets tedious for me every time a holiday turns up that I don't want to acknowledge with my current household. So I would have really liked an option to click on a Sim and choose to ignore the holiday.
