I used to use auto lights but I don't like how the homes look when you're in manage worlds with the lights off. Bit weird, and not very important but it was enough to put me off of using it. If I really want a light off, sometimes I feel weird making my Sim go to bed with her light on, per se, so I'll turn it off and back on when she wakes up. Most times I forget, though.
