That's kinda how I felt. I didn't plan on having her break up with Marlon so quickly, but when Celina found out he hated children... it was a no-brainer. Damian and Celina are engaged, and he seems okay with the fact she's pregnant when it can't be his. I don't want them to get married until after the baby's born though. I hope to plan a nice wedding for them - I definitely think they're endgame. She and Marlon have the "bad romance" relationship, which I don't recall seeing before, but I'd only had one couple break up before - Celina's parents. They have the "It's Awkward" relationship, which seems more fitting for them since Celina's dad wanted to get married and Celina's mom was afraid of commitment, so ended it with Braylon and left her children. The chemistry system in The Sims 4 definitely seems more visual than prior games (like the Sims 2, which flat-out told you how many bolts of chemistry your sims had with other sims).

Since this is the dilemma you’re now facing, I say play it out and keep an eye on their whims — that is, if you’re playing both Damian and Celina and play with whims. I know TS4 whims are pretty much entirely random and aren’t as intuitive as TS3’s, but I heavily rely on them to pick up on the way my sims feel about others. That, and keeping an eye on the way they autonomously interact and look at each other. Yes, they all look at each other pleasantly most of the time, but I swear you can tell when there’s something there — like chemistry, as you said. :lol:

I would also observe how Damian interacts with the baby once its born. I often do this when I play single parents; I’ll watch to see how well their potential spouse treats the child. If they’re actively seeking them out and contributing to conversations, especially autonomously, then I feel good moving forward with the relationship.

P.S. I’m really happy you ended up pairing Celina and Damian together. They’re SO cute! :love: It’s too bad she had to find out Marlon hates children after getting pregnant with his child, but at least it looks like she’s got a good guy by her side and support from her parents.

I suppose Damian isn't obliged to marry Celina and care for her kid. They're just dating. It's not like they're getting married already. If this were real life, Damian isn't trapped into anything and has the choice to stay with Celina and be a stepdad. Seeing as this is The Sims, you can roleplay and have Damian act in a way that's most faithful to how you envision his character.

Being a single mom (and possibly marry someone else entirely) is a perfectly valid third option too :p
