What Should He Wear? . . .

I think that perhaps the second outfit, the 3 piece suit. He looks stylish in it, without the formalness of the first one. It seems to suit him best as a teen dressed for a special occasion. 

I like the last one. Sharp, but not too formal. He is still a kid and deserves to not have to take up too much adulting at this point.

My take on his outfits.

1. He looks like he's going to his own wedding.
2. Looks like an accountant ready to do your taxes.
3. Festive, is he going to some fancy after party later?
4. Nice, put together and age and event appropriate, I think it's a winner.

I like #2 and #4. 

#2 I like the waistcoat contrast in this one to throw off the overuse of blue, and even though it's still typically formal, his long hair worn down gives it an edgier look .

#4 This looks like the outfit of a musician or artist. It mixes things up from atypical formal wear and suits his career. You can tell by looking at him that he does something creative.

Thank you. So far number four has the majority of votes, if you will. I may have to flip a coin. I tend to like number 2, as well.

Here is my analysis after reading so many thoughtful responses. 

1. Would give his newfound status up.
2.  I like mostly because I really like vests.
3. Well, I did call it a Monkey suit.
4. This one is fun and does suit his age. He's sixteen and overwhelmingly creative, musically, in particular.

I may have to flip a coin. Wait until I he attends the Quaver, for the pictures.

Maybe too late if you already decided, but I want to reply about my thoughts.

Firstly, I thought that all outfits fit Erik perfectly. However, I like #4 because of the uniqueness that brings him stand out and be memorable. #2 #3 are the classic choices that look good for him in the adult time. For #1, I would like to let him keep it for the royal ballroom or something like that.

So, as you said, if he's 16 and overwhelmingly creative, #4 is the suitable choice for me. (Unless you want to use the story that Eric let his mother guide, rather than expressing himself)
