If Morgan asked your sim for a date, you didn't get to see the date meter and had to guess all the time. Therefore failing the date minigame is not really your fault, but the game's and you should not get punished for it.

For me story > game mechanics. I'd make up something to explain why Morgyn wasn't in the best of moods, said something hurtful they didn't mean ("Don't call again") and pursue the romance, even though it has become harder now.

clearly Fate is telling you, they are supposed to be enemies! I would exact revenge. I’m sad inferniate and zip zap don’t ever seem to kill sims :(

I did choose the enemies option but also: keep trying to flirt in between inferniatiing/zip-zapping Morgyn. Nothing like the enemies to lovers trope ;)

What determines a good date is all wrong so you may just ignore it. The system might have been bugged when I got that message with my two lovers, so I ignored it, or maybe it was always just set up counter intuitively. I'll determine if a date is good or bad and only let the AI have a say if the AI is good. Either way, it was years ago (2015?) and dating might have been tweaked, so take that into consideration if you like.

If you interact with Morgyn you'll probably see that he actually was NOT so unhappy with the date and your Sim.

... But only if you agree with me. You can go with this and let Morgyn have space, if you want. o:)

ETA: Yeah, I just read about the hidden meter I forgot about. UGH yeah ... I was shocked when I got that message. :'(

This. And then venture into the dangerous jungle seeking a cursed artifact to turn Morgyn into a skeleton and enslave him as a servant so he can't hurt anyone else. Become an archaeologist. Dig a lot. Pick fruit. Enjoy the scenery. Survive poisonous bugs. Find the lost ancient temple and risk everything to solve the traps and acquire the treasure. Succeed or die. If you die, nothing else matters. If you succeed, go back to the canteen and learn to dance like no one's watching. Kiss locals. return home with treasure, culture, and a smile. Morgyn who?
