What To Do When Bored In The Sims 4?
I am getting a bit bored with the game so it would be great to have some suggestions on what other things I can do in the game to make it entertaining. Challenges aren't really working and making awes...

When I'm bored in TS4 I turn it off and do something else. - Usually TS2 or CAW.
Now, there's nothing wrong with not playing for a little while. The urge to play will come back or not. So, a break might be in the best thing.
Might check some other sections for building challenges (if they have them) or Sim Modeling challenges (if they have them) or even read some Sims Stories to get ideas. That usually makes me want to play- reading Legacies and how others have fun in the game.
Still, don't worry if you don't feel like playing TS4, play something else and you'll want to play again soon. :)
