I have a Kensington Pro Fit Wired Comfort Keyboard bought last December from Amazon for my desktop PC. It's a mechanical with a wrist pad and I love it! I used the small, flat cheapo keyboard that came with my desktop for almost a year before it quit working very well. I'm old school too, I like the raised keys and hearing the sounds when I type. For a mechanical it really isn't that noisy, just enough for my purposes. It has a wrist pad too which is very handy.
I love that it has front and rear nine-way adjustable feet too. One of the worst problems I had with the flat keyboard is I couldn't see the keys very well and it was uncomfortable to use.
