- LadyKyn7 years agoSeasoned AceI'm thinking a tropical island resturaunt and maybe a lot a beach wedding.
- amapola767 years agoSeasoned AceI originally wanted to add:
A wedding/honeymoon lot
A spa
An art gallery (because how could you *not* have at least one artist living in such a gorgeous world, to paint local landscapes and sell to the tourists?)
A beachfront restaurant specializing in fresh local cuisine (I am still hoping one of the new recipes will be poke!)
But now that I have seen the world map, I'm not sure there will quite enough spaces for what I want. From what I've seen so far, I like the premade builds, so I don't necessarily want to bulldoze anything, and I'm generally happy with the world size, but I would have loved another 1-2 empty lots, for my specific purposes. So I may give up the spa, and just incorporate a few spa elements into the wedding/honeymoon lot (which will either go on the 50x50 lot, or the empty islet lot in the volcano neighborhood... though if it's the latter, I'll probably want to remove the off-the-grid trait).
I also want to create a residential eco-commune, which I'm thinking about putting on the shipwreck site, if we can make that a residential lot. (Someone's post said that lot has a trait or something associated with the conservationist career, but if I can, I might move that trait/venue type to the lot up near the volcano, and make that a sort of science/research station park).
I'm also probably going to move out the premade families... I don't want to delete them, because I like them well enough, and wouldn't mind having them around as townies, but I already have several specific families in mind that I want to create, and need those houses! - amapola767 years agoSeasoned Ace> @kalaksed said:

I have a seafood restaurant in Windenberg, too, but I made that my high-end fancy seafood restaurant, and also turned the bar in BB into a casual/fast food fish restaurant (with more of the recipes added for BB). So I may end up with 3 seafood restaurants! But I could see the IL restaurant being more like, fresh, local, seafood-intensive, but also specializing in local produce and some vegetarian options. - I'm probably going to do an island information center (aka library) on the little 20x20 in the town. It will be a place for off-grid sims to go if they need to use a computer for odd jobs and such.
I'm going to put a ritzy Bed & Breakfast in Lani St Taz for my sims living in other worlds to go on vacation. A restaurant is a given. I'll likely move the bar. - amapola767 years agoSeasoned Ace> @Amapola76 said:

Oh, and I can't believe I forgot this: a beach campground! I've had one of these in every iteration of the Sims that has had beaches.
I think it's a good, inexpensive option to get around the lack of a resort. Sims from other worlds can just stay over in tents on the beach. But I'm not sure now where I would put it. I could put it on the 50x50 lot, but somehow that looks to luxe to me for something as casual as a tent campground. So I might just add tents to one of the two existing beaches, but I'm going to have to poke around in build mode once the pack releases to decide. If all else fails, I can probably just have individual sims bring their tents and camp out on either of the existing beaches, but I really do like the idea of having a dedicated lot for that, if possible. - loubyloulou7 years agoSeasoned Ace

I’m definitely building a restaurant and a “bed & breakfast” type of home.
Would you build a B&B with a already living household in it and then just kind of 'visit' them and stay at their rentals? Or will the lot work as a community lot like a restaurant? I wonder if the first one could work in some way where you would be welcome to eat and sleep on the lot. WOULD LOVE THAT!
This is what I'm planning to do - create a B&B on Sulani, move in a single Sim, have my Sims be at least acquaintances with them so they're in their relationship panel, give my Sims the 'Always welcome' reward trait, and Bob's your uncle B) a pretty place to go on weekend breaks to. - SimsBarbie7 years agoSeasoned AceForgot about adding a spa. great idea.
- I'm building an 'off the grid' house. I 'think' I'll pop it by the volcano.

This is the older version. The current one has a pergola thing by the side to grow produce, the bathroom bit has gone entirely, as have the kitchen appliances. The table and chairs are on a deck out the back with a lamp and BBQ and there's a bamboo two seater in the house instead. It's about 10K at the moment. Obviously I'll be swapping with some of the new bits when I get the expansion. The foundation is going stilted as soon as I get it. - @FurSimsOfficial - You could try what I do now for a family that lives in Windenberg and has a holiday home in Brindleton Bay. It takes one load screen to the map page and maybe a handful of clicks.
I have two sims in the holiday home - dressed like a maid and a butler...
Step 1 “Tranfer Sims Between Households and tranfer the maid to the main household.
Step 2 “Exit and re-enter the transfer sims between households screen and move the family into their holiday home with my “butler” sim.
#done!
Holiday Home time!!! I takes maybe a minute & I reverse the process to send them back home. - ChaosKitten6667 years agoSeasoned HotshotA spa and restaurant are an absolute must. Probably a celebrity lounge as well. And lastly an outdoor bar and a couple of beaches. Leaves a good number of residential lots. Might throw a nightclub over the water in as well now that I think about it. Those glass floor tiles + glass dance floor are screaming to be used!
