People seem to forget that this version has been an anomaly since the beginning. So saying a particular theme doesn't meet the parameters of what's expected for an expansion pack means absolutely nothing.
Before Strangerville many would have bet we'd never get a story driven pack. But we got one.
And a second one. JTB.
No telling what's coming next. ?
Are you saying TS4 isn't The Sims? Glad someone has finally admitted it after six years of telling us it was. :D
I've never said it was The Sims. That argument started with people who for the last six years have been unhappy with the game and thought it should follow a predictable sandbox formula because it is TS4.
Well, it did, didn't it? C&D, Seasons, DU, etc. Seems pretty much what the other iterations got, so I would think it is a serial."Cinebar;c-17683375" wrote:

I wasn't referring to the packs but the gameplay. Sandbox vs story driven. I just mentioned the packs as examples.- @Hoverael Agreed. I hate reality TV. I find it ironic that it’s called that when it’s all about pretending to be someone that you’re not. Some people will do seemingly anything for fame and fortune. Why can’t we all just be happy with the lives we have?
Besides, irl, the cast is usually chosen based on who’s the most charismatic and conventionally-attractive, and it really bugs me because it makes me feel bad about myself to see all of those fit attractive people on TV with me being fat and ugly. I do want to be a professional author one day, but I plan to achieve my fame through skill rather than artificial looks that probably took the TV stars many plastic surgeries to achieve. - I do enjoy some reality tv programs. Mostly cooking and home renovation. The Great British Bakeoff, Chopped, Iron Chef, House Hunters, Martha Knows Best, Love It or List It, etc.
- Babykittyjade5 years agoSeasoned AceI can't even imagine. I very rarely rarely watch tv. Not even youtube videos. And when reality tv came out I thought it was a plague. (Still do)
Though I would give this pack a chance before judging, the thought makes me cringe.
The sims is already a pretend place. I don't want to pretend in a pretend place.
I love food as much as the next person and I'm super thrilled for those "elotes" but I don't want anymore cooking stuff unless it allows group cooking or couple cooking at least.
However, it may also bring some good things. Like ecoliving. I hated the concept but loved what it brought. And it may tie in nicely with get famous. Wouldn't mind seeing a camera crew follow my celebrity around lol. I'm hoping the showtime pack rumors are true more than this one though.
Maybe they could throw a couple of wearwolves and zombies in there????? - Their survey initally stated ..
a cooking show called ‘sliced n diced’
A bachelor style show Called ‘finding love’
A fashion design show called ‘runway takeoff’
But if they have worked on this for some time and have the idea to implement a singing competition Like pop idol /x factor then bands, instruments could all come in to play
I really think it could be a great pack
New kitchen counters for the cooking show would be greatly appreciated xD - Yet another expansion pack focusing on the young adult lifestage. I really want Generations, but unfortunately, EA thinks that Parenthood is sufficient. While that IS my favorite gamepack, I wish they would add more stuff for family play, even if it’s in a pack not focusing specifically on children (such as the swings and kiddie pool in Seasons).
- It would be really cool if EA made a gamepack for school and included things like more after school activities, various cliques (nerds, jocks, etc.), proms, field trips, and more.

The only way I'd be interested in this theme is if I can make some overly twisted version of the Trueman Show.
That already happened to one of my Sims. She found the end of the set. (This is Oasis Springs.)

Ugh. I am hoping for anything except for bands unless maybe they allow us to have boy/girl groups and toxic idol culture. I'm so sick of happy-go-lucky gameplay.
