Thank you so much for taking the time to explain. I myself started playing the Sims with Sims 2, but I only had a few packs and I didn't play rotationally, so no I wasn't aware of that effect in Sims 3. I became a true fan in the Sims 3 era buying all the packs and learning the lore. I've always played my own stories, often supernatural, but not always and I wasn't even really aware of rotational playstyle until later.
I can certainly empathise with your frustration however as I have had similar feelings about significant changes made to games that have removed features that I had previously loved to play.
And incidentally the first two alien films just happen to be two of my favourite films, because they are so raw and honest, characteristics that the later films definitely lack. I can also understand your feelings about the Sims 5 too. It isn't looking good is it? Thank you again for sharing.
