- DeKaythePUNKSeasoned VanguardI just realized I never used CAW in previous games cuz I stink at it. I tried once and gave up. XD So if it's gonna be anything like TS2, then probably nothing. But if they have the add more lots in current world feature, I would definitely use that.
- Even though I've played every version of the sims I've never used CAW before. So I really dont even know what to expect with it. But I'd love to make an old southern city with a historic district with lots to build old houses on, and a downtown with shops and restaurants. The backdrop would be lots of city square parks, big mossy oaks, etc.
- LizzychicagoNew TravelerNothing, it was way too confusing in sims 3 so I'm sure it would be more so with sims 4.
- Make a copy of Oasis Springs and edit it. Improving on something already existing is probably the best way to learn how things work.
- I haven't thought it through but would love to have the CaW option. I could make a whole world of aliens, or circus people (I miss the circus themed stuff from the original Sims games), a world of magic (I miss the Magic expansion too), would love to create a whole community of famous recreation SIMS, you know celebrities and the like. Be able to have a dystopian world. So many possibilities!
- I won't do anything with it. I tried to understand it when we had it in prior versions of this game and never got the hang of it. I'd rather have something like the tools to recolor or use patterns on clothing, furniture or walls.
- TrashmagicNew SpectatorI'd get no sleep. :p
- GrumpyGlowfishSeasoned NewcomerMy main problem with TS4 worlds is what I've come to call the "Sylvan Glade Syndrome": Pretty to look at, but nothing to do. Take Forgotten Hollow for example, there's a path surrounded by trees and lamps leading up to a mysterious-looking hill with an overthrown street lamp... and a bench to sit on as the only interactive object. There's nothing else up there, not even a fishing spot or insects to collect, absolutely no reason to go there.
So if CAW ever becomes a thing, the first thing I'll do is edit the existing worlds and put some interesting objects and activities here and there to finally give my sims an incentive to leave their homes and explore the neighbourhood. Since I can't even build decent-looking single houses, I don't think I'll create my own worlds, but if there's a way to share them and someone offers a residential forest world similar to Granite Falls, I'll happily download it.
Oh, and I'd also rename some of the worlds. "Del Sol Valley" just doesn't sit well with me, I can't shake the feeling that it should really be "Valley Del Sol". - DeKaythePUNKSeasoned VanguardOh, good to know I wasn't the only one who doesn't know how to use CAW. XD
- I don’t think you guys have to worry about CAW being too complicated if it ever comes. TS4 has always traded off the ability to customize in favor of ease of access. If CAW became a thing, rest assured that the number of ways you could edit a world will be quite limited compared to previous games. It might even be pared down to several pre-determined combinations considering the devs have limited art assets to invest in. Free placement of lots, public structures and decorations will not be possible since the overview map cannot reflect those changes. At the very least, you might be able to pick world size and terrain paint and not much else. Pretty easy to pull off for the devs and a welcome addition for players requesting more lot space.
