What would you do with the lottery money?
So if I understand correctly, the prize for winning the lottery that pops up as a surprise holiday in Seasons is one million simoleons. Has anyone here had their sim win that (or marry the random town...

When 2 am rolls around, there is an announcement that says it was successful, but no announcement as to who, if anyone, won the lottery. The notification for who won happens the next day. I think it's around 10am, but I'm not sure. Your sims will get a sad moodlet after the notification pops up if they didn't win.
Edit: the announcement of who won does happen at 10am. I had the lottery again in my game. My sims never win though.
Unfortunately, I don't get any announcement at all at 10 am concerning the lottery. Every time the Lottery event rolls around, I make sure to pay close attention at 10 am the following day. I even scroll through the announcements to ensure I didn't miss the announcement.
Are you getting other notifications, like when kids come home from school and there's the notification of how they're doing, or for other holidays whether they're successful? You can also go into Manage Households and see which ones have over a million Simoleons, a good sign that they're lottery winners. (Malcolm Landgraab of all Sims won one of the lotteries in my game; Geoffrey and Nancy both died do he's living in the family household with his wife and teen sister (who is currently in my Sim's teen/YA On The Town club that gets together to have dinner out and go dancing. (I also had skating as an activity but the stinky leaf piles all over the place made my neat Sim too uncomfortable to skate -- can't wait till they get the piles dealt with.
