- The more content, the better  I would prefer 1 Gamepack and 1 expansion pack tbh

With C&D having been released in November, I'm cool with waiting a while for a Seasons EP, as long as I eventually get it and it doesn't make my game go NEARLY as bonkers as C&D did ('cuz let's face it, anyone who uses CC knows any major update's gonna send their game off the rails on a crazy train).

I'm a Witch in reality, whether I actively practice any Craft or not, and looking back on it, I find the Witches of TS2 and TS3 goofy and full of misleading misconceptions that'd surely get repeated in TS4. Not only that, but they'd likely lump everything into one magick skill when there's tons of different skills that'd be better if they were made separate and fully fleshed-out that way - various forms of Divination, spells, go more in-depth with the herbalism skill, etc. Not only that, but if they ever did such a thing, I'd like to see 'em include stuff for the Sabbats - decor, recipes, clothing, etc.

Pop culture like games has destroyed real Witches and their credibility, and I'd like to see a bit more realism in 'em with this game, even if it's just in the skills and harvestable plants they use.

> I'm with you on wanting a Witches GP. In the Sims 3, I always had a Witch going for my personal Sims. And I'm a member of the craft as well. However, I'd never considered them dividing up the magic skill into magic skills, mostly because I've only ever played the Sims 3. I agree that in some ways, pop culture has destroyed what real witches are. My manager literally asked if that meant that I summoned demons. However, I can't say that the Sims should stray too far from the goofy version of Witches. The Sims itself is goofy and that's what makes it so great. From their language, their preferred chosen actions (QUIT GETTING A DRINK OF WATER OUT OF THE BATHROOM WHEN YOU WERE NEAR THE KITCHEN), and everything else that they can do, they really are a goofy set of characters.

> I haven't bought Vampires yet but I have been watching videos on it. It'll probably be the next pack I buy personally. From what I can tell, what you're wanting should be doable this time around. They've given vampires the unique ability to build up powers and then balance it out with weaknesses. The same can and should be done with witches. I don't know if it was a Vampire Skill or Points, but they could delve into all the things you want: Divination, Spells, Herbalism. I'd personally love to see Alchemy make its come back. You hear that SimsGurus? You did amazing with Vampires, need to do the same with Witches lol.

> As for a stuff pack, I don't know what I'm really crazy for. I miss the ability to create beautiful and elaborate green houses in the Sims. I'd like a pack that brought it all back. True, Romantic Garden stuff was a gardening themed pack...but it was designed for the outdoors. I'd like to be able to build a dream home with a greenhouse...and I'd love to be able to grow trees inside it as well....I know they grow big, but if I make it a two story with no ceiling/floor on the second floor....I should be allowed to grow my tree.
Oh, I never said they couldn't make Witches a little goofy, or that I wouldn't spend my or any close connections' money on a Witches GP, if they did. I just said they needed to make it a bit more realistic this Time around. Wanna give 'em the option to turn someone into a Frog? Fine, but give 'em the penalty of Frogs invading their garden or something, if they do it just because, rather than 'cuz they caught a spouse cheating or something. Wanna give 'em money spells? Fine, but make 'em work if they're truly selfless or in need, but every cent they've already got disappear, if they're just being greedy when they cast it. That's the kinda thing where I say I want more realism on it - action and reaction, reward and consequence, just like Reality, but with just enough goofiness to make it obvious that it's still a game.
And while those points about Vampires make it seem worth buying it...everything I've ever heard says there's no "population control" - i.e. on/off option - for Vamps. Ya get 'em, and you're stuck with 'em, often with 'em getting past things like locked gates to skulk around and attempt breaking into your human Sims' houses. Not something I wanna put up with in my game, so I simply choose not to buy it - even though there's some cool furniture/hair/clothes/etc.
Yeah, greenhouses are something I'd want, either as part of a Seasons EP like in TS2 or in a separate, but corresponding SP. Then I could throw certain plants I didn't want going dormant in there to grow and produce Year-round like TS2 did, if I recall right. If I've got that mixed up with TS3 or wrong altogether, somebody please correct me! I haven't played TS2 since...gods, I think circa 2011/2012! - I seriously doubt we'll get seasons this quarter, so I voted game pack because I'm really curious to see what they'll do next.
- I voted 1 expansion and 1 stuff pack. I've honestly haven't cared much for the GPs. Literally the only one that interested me and that I own is Parenthood. Every other one is uninteresting to me. This isn't to say that I would definitely be disinterested in any future Game Packs, I just haven't cared for the content of any of the existing ones sans Parenthood. :/
- Would like a EP and GP.
Too many stuff packs as it is and not enough larger packs! - Godleyjeans7 years agoNewcomerPersonally if there was the option I’d say merge game packs and stuff packs, have those along with more expansions, it would take some time but it’d mean EA would have to think more about content to make the games WORTH buying and yes again we’d have to wait longer but for quality I’m happy to wait, waited for sims 3 and 4, no biggie over here

I was thinking something along the same lines.
TS4 has been having teasers and trailers quite regularly. Now, suddenly, there's radio silence. I'm hoping that after the fiasco of MFPS, someone with the power to do so is rethinking the way that content has been dribbling out.
I know that it's a long shot to hope that someone of that stature at EA even cares. Regardless, consolidating the planned GPs and SPs into something more meaningful and cohesive would go a long way toward restoring some of my faith in TS4.
Like you, I'm willing to wait if it means that there is significant reward at the end. Another SP or GP isn't going to cut it for me.- There won't be an ep during this (first quarter) quarter as the head devs and producers are all busy with the various electronic shows they have to attend with EA until almost the third quarter - so deduction has it they cannot do the 6 week build up (via 4 or more trailers) of an ep and the two Q &A's with simmers before an ep comes out. If one is coming 3rd quarter like I think it is - we will probably hear about it at Gamescom the third week of August like they showed C &D last year and if we are lucky it might be out the first or second week of November - depending probably on which week is not up against one of EA's big ticket sellers that also they try and get it in time for the Holidays as well in order to have the best chance of bigger sells.
So I deduct we will get 2 sps and hopefully 1 gp - over this first (Apr,May, June) and second quarter (July,Aug, Sep).
ETA -
JUst went and checked dates for eps and packs - that came out during the electronic show season May - Sept).
2015 had ep Dec 8 (was due in mid November but coincided with EAs Biggest games so was delayed to Dec 8)
2016 had ep Nov 1
2017 had ep Nov 10
2015 had gp July 14
2016 had gp June 7
2017 had gp May 30
2015 had 2 sps- June & August
2016 had 2 sps- June & July
2017 had 2 sps - June & August "LeGardePourpre;c-16434268" wrote:
1 Expansion, 1 Game Pack :p
Stuff Packs are disappointing.
Hi.
agreed
it amazes me that at this stage the game still feels so empty. and some people would like stuff packs instead of expansion packs ::open_mouth:
I don't even look at them as stuff packs anymore, just mini store sets with a stuff pack name.
The quality of the items is poor.
as for the premium items. a lot of them are boring  (- So far in 4 I like the GP contents better than EP contents, as a general observation (Not saying I hate the EP's just the GP's feel fuller to me and more concentrated) I'd kinda of like to see another supernatural GP. I wish we could have something like a Demons/Angels GP.
