I'm going to turn Newcrest into a city/country not currently in TS4. I want something with architecture not seen in the game yet (or widely anyway). I won't be using mods so will be stuck with the landscape/map as is. What do you think is the best fit?Townhouses won't work, otherwise I'd do Montreal or Copenhagen. It needs to be a place with detached homes.I've been scouring on Google Earth and so many countries now just have bland suburbia but some exceptions were:

I filled Newcrest with quite modern Scandinavian inspired houses once. If you have Dream Home Decorator there are a lot of items in there that would fit with the Scandinavian theme if you are decorating the inside of your builds as well. :smile: If you'd like a another suggestion, I think that the architecture in Budapest is stunning, very intricate and colourful (but I'm not sure how easy it would be to make).

Newcrest in my game is where business lots are located. Shops, restaurants, bowling alley, etc. I try to fit the architecture to the surrounding area, though I have some buildings that are rather experimental. I also have downloaded from the gallery some lovely industrial looking buildings that I will add to the neighbourhood with the hiking trails, they will be places where sims will be able to craft and sell stuff. And there will be a factory inspired nightclub.

I'm here for this thread because I've literally had no idea what to do with Newcrest since I've bought the game lol.

Newcrest is now Mooncrest in my game, a modern city for hip, urban Spellcasters and other magic beings. Magnolia Promenade is the city outskirts with a graveyard, apartments and a nightclub.

My Newcrest does have a couple of townhouses in the long strip. I have a tall Catholic Church in the middle with a town house on each side, and a house on each end. When I put sims in the town houses, I put a sister and a brother in each townhouse ( there were 2 apartments in each, each one getting their own ), each had a partner with them, and just locked the doors if I didn’t want them going into each others houses. Food from the Fridges does get shared though. The neighborhood in the back has a movie theatre, a spa, a grocery store/bakery with a small fruit/ vegetable garden outside. A buisness office building with a cafe, and a tall 3 level apartment ( 1 small apartment each level a one bedroom, and 2, 2 bedrooms which I keep the doors locked so only the right small family can go into the apartment. But again fringes share the same food ).The neighborhood up by the water has a yacht (residential) that fits perfectly there.on the left side where the water is, across the street is a little village shopping place with outdoor activities as well. The big lot by the water is a park. The first lot across from the park is a big night club/lounge. And, I use to have an outdoor lounge called the flamingo lounge or something like that, that was great before season came out, but is not really usable much of the year now because of weather, I may end up putting that in Oasis Spring or Strangerville where it would probably get more use now. Most of the Lots in Newcrest I downloaded and changed to my liking except for the business office/cafe, and the apartment building.I sure would be interested to see what you put in Newcrest, please share the lot names of those you download and the ones you make. And, pictures if you take them.I would love to see what someone could do with a Tuscany, Italy.

I live on the West Coast so when I go east I find all the brick houses so captivating! We have hardly any brick houses here because of the earthquakes but also the cheap lumber I'm sure.

In my game, I used Newcrest to place some businesses, a cemetery, and re-creations of some Sims2 houses from the gallery.

I can see newcrest having an Italy theme that would fit nice. In the past I had downloaded a lot of paris style lots and filled newcrest. It looked nice.
Now I turned it cyberpunk. With cc though.
