I'm playing 100 baby and I can't age them up because the cake is not working half the time. If it works they go out the front door walk all the way around the house and then age up. Or it doesn't work...

It can't be on the edge, on a table or on a counter that you can pull up stools to, it can only be a regular shaped counter, I've even had problems with the centre of corner counters. You can age them up , they blow out the candles, it's just not working.
That's what I'd meant though, it works, just only in very specific places now. In the middle of a counter only and in a room large enough and they will spin and do the age up, or they might walk outside and do it there if there's still not enough room. It's definitely not working properly, for sure, but you can still do it if you don't mind the work around, otherwise you can cheat age them up in CAS, at least until they get around to fixing it. :/
