Nice list! Also great that you list the pack specific gallery sims. I've never considered those to actually be part of the pack. And mostly, I don't know their names or anything. Very few exceptions.
The "recommended" varies depending (not sure what it depends ON). It says "200 Max recommended" in my game. Without any premades, just my own households, one of my saves has 91 sims fav'd. Though, that's my Stardew (38 sims)/TS1-premade (15 so far) save, and I've moved some of my households from other saves there, because every world that came out before Cats & Dogs had been emptied and has a lot of building room :) So no premades in those worlds either.
I've not noticed any sims being culled in my game, though....with the randomly generated townies, I hardly WOULD notice, there are soooo many of them. Any culling of those, I do myself when I can't be bothered to do makeovers.
