LOL. If a Sim stands in front of a mirror, you see their front side. If a Sim stands with their back to the mirror, you see their back side. While this is a reflection in the water, it's mostly like a mirror. So why can we see Erik's face reflected in the water when he's floating ON HIS BACK?

I'm just answering the question(sorry if it's rhetorical).

This is normal for water. For us humans, our reflections would appear distorted and at an angle. EA did the best they could here, so it looks off with the reflection facing straight down. Also it's slightly misaligned due to refraction.

I'll see myself out of the thread now.

Yep, it's completely normal. Just google "water reflection face" or "water reflection floating on the back" too see more examples of it, or just "water reflection" for non human examples. It has to do with the angle you are observing the phenomenon, if you could submerge yourself in the mirror the way you can in the water you would have a similar effect.

Hey, you don't have to go. You gave a rather thoughtful explanation. Thanks for weighing in. :)
  • @BookBear Thanks. I guess I've only seen a couple of the Harry Potter movies, so I missed this.

    Omg it's Edward mordrake ??

:) Literally the stuff of urban legend. It does look incredibly creepy. Perhaps the reflected head is whispering to him?

I had to take a double take before I noticed it. It does look creepy, even if as people say it is normal… lol.
