What's your favorite spot for a first date (for your Sims?)

I don’t care much for goal oriented dates. I usually just have sims hangout together. Adults often go to lounges or nightclubs together. Teens usually go to parks/arcades, or bowling ally/malls. Restaurants are broken in my game. Sims can’t seem to request a table and order ( I don’t use mods of CC ).

My sims don't go on dates, or extremely rarely. But if they do, Myshuno Meadows is my go-to place. Hardly any other sim will be interrupting, there's a kitchen and bathroom, AND there's a wedding arch if the sims are engaged.

I don't let them date much at all, though. I don't like the goals, they feel immature to me. I mean, tell jokes, get them playful bla bla bla. I'd rather have both sims live together before engagement/marriage. Typically I'll play a single sim and have a townie love interest move in while they are still "just" friends. No need to date when you live together.

My sims don't really go on dates, they just go out. But when they have an aspiration and they need to go on a a date, or have a whim for a date, I send them to fancy restaurants usually.

Does CAS count? If I want romance in my game, I create a married or engaged couple in CAS and pretend they had dates at some point.

Dates feel like a chore to me, so my sims only have them when their aspiration compels them, and then usually at a café or bar. Restaurants would be the more obvious choice, but too buggy and unpredictable, it's always a game of pure chance whether my sims will ever get served or not.

Maybe a few locations specifically geared to romance could make dates interesting to me. If I ever get My Wedding Stories, that's what I'm going to build in Tartosa.
