@FatTribble23 I have my elders and adult lifestages set really long, too. I love grandparents being around to bond with the family. Sometimes, active Sims will be around long enough to see great grandchildren.
I really want to try Mortem, but I'm worried about how it will affect my townies and their family trees. I don't currently have a Grim Reaper because my current generation is relatively new and no one has died... yet. :D
I like to try to keep mine around long enough to see great-grandchildren too. It's not unrealistic. My mother had 8 when she passed away at age 81!
Mortem is the only mod I can think of that doesn't stay in my mods folder all the time. Unless one of my played sims is about to die, I leave it on the desktop. That's mainly so I can use LittleMsSam's "Release all Ghosts & Get Urn for". This is an awesome mod that allows you to get a tombstone or urn for any sim in the world who has died. I populate my graveyards happily with them LOL. Unfortunately it and Mortem don't play well together. One quirk of Mortem is that with no Grimmie, medical examiners show up when a pet dies. That threw me a little the first time LOL.
Ah, I forgot about Grimmie not being generated until the first death. I think it was Sims 3 where he was always there from the beginning and terrible things happened if you deleted him.
