When I saw the Eco Lifestyle trailer, I thought, "That's what I want—an expansion that takes progression further, allowing you to improve not only your lot but also the neighborhood". However, I didn't take the care to read about the mechanics of neighborhood actions. The base mechanics are fine, but some of the plans don't make sense and can potentially permanently damage your world. Since then, I always carefully review the specific options of each expansion. I don't like those kinds of surprises.
There are many expansions that I didn't like because they didn't add any new interesting mechanics, but at least they didn't ruin my game. I liked Get to Work; unfortunately, it's one of the few expansions that met my expectations.
