Ive changed my mind about kits. I used to hate the idea of them and swore id never purchase, but I LOVED the fashion streetwear kit.
I dont think theyre too expensive. $5 isnt too much and kind of par for the course of micropurchases for games these days. I think microtransactions are annoying but its not like EA is the only one doing them. I do think we have a lot of kits now, but i would expect there are more smaller dlc than big dlc like with any other game. Also console players or non ccusers have access to more stuff cheaper.
The content is varied and some things dont appeal to me at all, like the "menswear". But others have like couryard oasis. Some things arent worth a purchase imo, like bust the dust. I think base game should have vacuums. Ultimately I think kits shouldnt exists yet because theres still lots of the main game is missing.
I have interest in more expansions, but no expansion is going to get me what I really want out of Sims 4, which is the core of the game getting changed. So im not extremely passionate with getting more expansions because it wont fix what I want changed, but i sympathize with ppl who are bored of kits and I also want to see more expansions just out of curiosity.
I do want more cultural dlc in general, id rather see them in expansions (or better yet free update) than kits if they continue to branch out to other cultures not in their main/target audience, but if theyre only available in kits or free updates so far then thats what we have. I think buying them shows theres an audience that wants them and they should continue making more cultural items whether free or dlc. (But please dont say its because youre suddenly inclusive. Just throw us the dlc and call it a day ?)
This is how im feeling now but ofc feelings are subject to change ?
