When Things Go Terribly Wrong During Gameplay...
Adrian was busy fulfilling milestone after milestone, so I'm sorry to say I didn't worry so much about him. Too many times, however, I found the infant on the floor of the bathroom, where his mother rather callously placed him after a bath just to walk away. It was sad, really. Sometimes his much older sister would step in, or even Joey would step in.
The Butler started out doing an amazing job caring for the wee one. But sadly, I think he drew a reprimand once, for leaving the baby on the floor. Oh, Louise, could you be any bigger a hypocrite? She should have given the butler a bonus!
At any rate, his birthday was upon me, yesterday. His sister baked a white cake to hold down any stains should he make a mess with it. Getting somebody to fetch him from his crib and help him blow out the candles was yet another problem
(As an aside, I have to insert here that the maid came on duty. The man was rather zealous in making order of the Dining Hall. The cake sitting stately upon the cloth covered table, candles ablaze meant nothing to him. He scooped it up off of the table --- when I saw it was gone, I checked the fridge. There it was. Phew. He also kept putting trays of food from the round Banquet table into the fridge, too. Was he miffed he didn't receive an invite? We'll never know.)
At any rate, the guests showed up, or at least some of them did, a couple of nobles, too, to their credit, despite King Joseph's stance on politics. Again, I was unable to have the baby transport himself downstairs, which might have helped. Oh, well, the cake did get consumed, but the candles were never blown out.
All I can say is it's a darn good thing I use MCCC. I was able to have him age up on his birthday, despite the lack of support from his family.
Also, to my chagrin, he is the very first of MANY infants who didn't age up with Top Notch Infant. Oh, well. I am not rolling back. The kid's quirks- loves to be held (the complete opposite of when he was an infant. He's also a wanderer (good I really hope this one runs away). And he's aggressive. Joey was only trying to give him a loving hug and the little snit bit him!
Yeah, yesterday's game play was a real blast! I even saved, exited and went back in because sometimes that frees a Sim up to do your bidding. Not so this time. Gah!
