I think the worlds are nowhere close to each other:
SM feels like a US/Canadian Pacific coastal city to me, WC is a coastal Southern US city, OS is Arizona, NC is probably more a suburban city either close to WC since they share similar environment or SM simply for the city buildings in the backdrop. WB is clearly a German province, it's far too different in style from the others to ever be part of the same nation. BB is Maine or Nova Scotia, and FH is way down in the darkest corner of Eastern Europe, like Transylvania, so closer to WB.
As for vacation worlds, well GF feels like Rocky Mountains to me and SD is obviously an obscure Central/South American country.
Ahh someone who thinks the exact same as me! The geography nerd in me has always thought of Forgotten Hollow as Transylvania, windenburg as Germany or Austria, and literally everything else you’ve said for all other worlds!
Same here. That's why when I play in Winderburg, I tend to not go much to any of the other world it doesn't seem believable. But when I play in Willow Creek for example, I have households all over the other worlds that I feel are nearby.
In my mind it would go something like this in TS4 planet:
(from north to south)
Brindleton bay
The world from Outdoor Retreat will be somewhere here
San Myshuno
Willow Creek with Magnolia Promenade being just a suburb and Newcrest (both at the same level, next to each other)
HUGE NATURAL BORDER (like a mountain range or something)
Oasis Spring
ANOTHER NATURAL BORDER
Selvadorada
Then we go aaaaaall across a vast ocean
Winderburg at the same level geographically than San Myshuno but different climate because we are in a different part of TS4 globe
Forgotten Hollow to the right of Winderburg on the map
