Where is the hair dryer in debug from Get Famous?

I couldn't locate it by using the GF filter. I had debug enabled. I don't even know the name of this object so I'm just calling it a hair dryer but I"ve heard about it.

  • I found it. It's buggy though. I picked out a hairstyle in CAS and it gave me an entirely different hairstyle. Also that hairstyle stuck and I had to keep trying.

I'd call it a hairstylist station and I cannot check in my game at the moment, but maybe this works: Temporarily make an expendable sim join the actor career, and when he is at the studio, enter the bb.enablefreebuild cheat. Now put the hairstylist chair into a room and save that to your library for future use. You can do this in a throaway save, even, if you don't want to mess with your main save.

I want to use this on a home lot.

Yes, that was the general idea of my suggestion. Once saved to the library, you could have pulled the room with the chair onto your homelot at any time you wanted. I "stole" the interrogation table from the police station this way (but it's not doing anything on normal lots).

But I'm glad the chair was found in regular buildmode and the workaround isn't needed!

It's too bad the chair is buggy. I'm going to have to mention those bugs on AMQ. Their probably there cause of one of the patches. Your supposed to get the hair you pic in CAS not an entirely different one.

I think it's a sort of skill, as make-up also has a chance of turning out funny.

Yup, it depends on your sim's skill level. Low skill = unpredictable results, High skill = perfect hair/makeup as planned

    What skill is that?

I've used it since Get Famous released and never had an issue. One of my favorite objects because my stylist Sim gives all the townies a makeover!

It's not a specific skill that you can level up. But I've found that the more you use the chair, the better you get at hair/makeup/styling, the less chance of messing up. Maybe it's some kind of random and/or percentage setting in the coding?
