Where to Find a Dozen White Eggs?

I have had Cottage Living since it was released, but unfortunately, the Sims I chose to live there just don't have time in their schedules to run errands for their neighbors. Sadly, he still has to come up with a dozen white eggs for the Store Keeper. The only egg in his father's coop was hatchable. Face/palm. Is there another way to procure eggs? I know that Carl's guide suggests purchasing them, but it's the storekeeper who needs the eggs. I haven't yet placed him into his own household, else I'd let him fill his coop to capacity of hens! (Or is this how one fulfills this Errand?)
