- The white one is easier on the eyes and makes the new hair, clothes, objects stand out more to me.
- WhatCobblersSeasoned VanguardI voted for the white one for the colour of the banners and text. I like that there's a bit of texture/pattern in the yellow and some variation of tone in this and the text. I feel it gives the graphics more character than the flat blocks of colour used in the other two. Also the green and yellow are happier colours.
From a marketing perspective, I feel that showing less of what's in the pack on the front cover creates more questions for customers as to what else is contained and entices them to look into the pack in more detail.
I think the last design gives away a bit too much and therefore customers might take one look, decide on the spot and take no further interest. - mcruddSeasoned VanguardI prefer the old style, I did make all of my own dvd covers, but for a while I have not. I think the last one I did was Star Wars, so I have some catching up to do. I also need to decide on a colour for the kits mmmmm lots to do ;)
- VWoodsongSeasoned ObserverCover art never truly reflects a pack's contents in a literal enough way to matter, and that's the only way I'd see them as useful. As much as I appreciate the artists' effort, I'd just as soon have the team slap a title and a good description on it and be done with it.
- ck213Seasoned ScoutI would actually prefer the full rendered scene but I can't stand the blue color of the banner at the top.
The color of the center expansion pack actually makes me feel nauseous. - Gemmie12New SpectatorI just picked for nostalgia sake, though the full rendered one is ok in it's own merit.
- DeKaythePUNKSeasoned VanguardI'm a professional graphic designer and the second and third one hurt my eyes. ? They're probably going for that modern flat minimalist look which I usually do love... but the design looks so sad. Like, hey, let's just put an odd looking rectangle shape thing in the corner for the game pack icon. And don't even get me started on the Sims 4 white logo on that bright turquoise color. How can anyone even read that properly without their eyes hurting?
The first one is the best. The game's logo is big enough and easy to read. The labelling on whether it's an EP or GP is at the top and has a nice placement. The icon placement and design is also great and I love that gradient geometric background it has. So that render is probably my fav as it's simple and easier on the eyes. The other two seem a bit too cluttered especially the third one as I would not know where to focus on but I guess it could also depend on the pack. Some fully rendered photos could look good and not too cluttered. - simsimsereRising ScoutWhite was classy, but Full Rendered Scene is also ok.
- All the images are posed of course, but for me the fully rendered image looks more natural somehow, maybe its the colour choices, or the slight camera distance to some of the sims. I'm not sure.
- manicobsessive1Seasoned NewcomerIt was really hard to choose, but I think something about the white background just cinched it for me.

The issue I have with marketing is that the poses, expressions, animations on cover art are FAKE, you do not see those things in the game, which is irritating to me, why not take actual screenshots and use those.
Yeah, I agree!
