It took me more than a year to decide to play the science career in GTW. I did love the idea of active careers but went the medical route first and then slipped back into not sending my sims to a real job for a long time... as it's my normal way to play.
When I got back to playing it especially that career it hit a simming spot I needed for stories I didn't know I wanted to tell basically. At that point and still at times I hear people talk badly about this pack but it's still unapologetically one of my favorites. Between playing mannequins and the active careers now and then and setting up shops for my sims to go too.. it's an essential part of my overall game.
