I was quite indifferent towards Eco Lifestyle at first, didn't love the trailers, didn't hate them either. It was one of those packs that I thought I'd get on a sale someday, which I did, and guess what... now it's actually my third favourite EP in TS4! While I'm still not a fan of the more... um... disgusting features it introduces (looking at you, insect farms and everything to do with dumpsters), and think some others could have been done better (candle-making being a separate skill rather than lumped together with Fabrication), I found the eco aspect, the careers and working with the fabricator quite fun.
I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I think Eco Lifestyle is overall a very well done pack and has set the bar a little bit higher for expansion packs to come.
