Which EP Pleasantly Suppried You?

Hello everyone! I know that sometimes EA makes a call we don't like, doesn't Include a feature we wanted, or has some weird thing go on that drives us nuts. What I like to keep in mind is that making games is hard and keeping large groups of people happy is even harder (just look at how hard modders work and then imagine doing that for a whole game). That being said I think we need to take a minute to focus on what they've gotten really, REALLY, right. Regardless of when or how it was done I know there have been packs that have looked *REALLY* bad or that had features which looked really lame/were lame in past games that actually became indispensable/a favorite part of the game. I'm not saying we don't need to say something when something makes us unhappy, however, we need to focus on both good and bad feedback for two reasons. The first is that actual humans worked super hard on this (just look at the way its rendered, how fast they patch issues, how often we get freebies) this is a series where someone talented poured sweat, blood, and tears into creating - just hearing negative things all the time has got to seriously *HURT* (how many brilliant modders have quit or gone on hiatus because the community decided to be super mean today?). The second is if nicely let them know what we like as well as what bothers us (again this needs to be nice not rage fueled flames) we can help create more packs that we love (keep in mind packs take ages to make so what we're seeing now was started at least in 2019 if not 2 or more years before so they *ARE* creating packs on old info and it will take awhile for this to take effect). So with that in mind, what is the pack you found the most pleasantly surprising? Please share your reasons below!
  • Get Together's club system let me bring sims together and do actions together like never before.

Get Together, Discover University, and Eco Lifestyle were all pleasant surprises for me. Eco Lifestyle was especially surprising since it was not a theme I would have ever chosen for an EP and I am really enjoying it. Get Famous was surprisingly fun for me too, although it is still not one of my favourites as I still have little interest in playing celebrity sims. Seasons was also a bit of a pleasant surprise. I didn't really understand why everyone was so excited when it was announced, but now I wouldn't want to play without it. It makes the game seem so much more alive.

LOL Get together for sure. I still remember all those death to Rachel Franklin threads and it turns out she might have been responsible for the best addition to the game, the club system. It is the only pack along with seasons that really is useful across all new packs that come out.
  • Toddlers surprised me -- I thought we'd get them eventually but I didn't expect them to be so cute. B) And the amount of gear we got for them was almost the equivalent of an SP for free. I also like how they went back and programmed a lot of the existing children's stuff to be useable by toddlers, like the toy box and dollhouse.

I was surprised by DU, mainly with the ability to attend college without having to move into the dorms. You can have a Sim commute to campus just like any rabbit hole school or job, so you're not ignoring your other family to concentrate on that one college student.

And Seasons I really felt that it focused more on family celebrations, unlike Sims 3 which were all about the community festivals. I like that aspect of the pack.
