I prefer the old versions because the new ones just don't feel like the goths anymore.
Do I mind the darker skintones? Not at all. It is all other changes I don't like.
Bella was always the most iconic goth to me. The new face is an improvement, but the hair is so not Bella. And the iconic red strapless dress she had in sims 1, sims 2 and for 8 years in the sims 4... Why replace that with a dress style everyone wears nowadays?
Cassandra always looked like a bit of an outsider, and one who likes being an outsider. I feel like peer pressure finally got to her and she now wants to fit in in high school.
And Alexander... I just want to ask that new child 'who are you, and where is Alexander?' It is just a completely different child.
In short this new family looks nice, but they are not the goths I have known and liked for the past 5 years. Which leaves me with two options. Keep the old ones and *fix* their skintones. Or use the new ones and fix their hair and clothing. And of course turn them back into spellcasters. ;) I think I will just stick with the old ones for now, less fuss.
