Definitely IP. If ppl are saying IL is better only because IP was buggy, then it must not be if that is the only reason. Not considering the routing issues, yes IP definitely was a true expansion with all the added boats and water activities like water skiing with the speedboat, windsurfing, and different types of boats. It expanded the entire game and I know I am missing some things here. Plus you could experience the full island by sailing around or using a houseboats. I didn't use them often. You were not contained to one zone. When you went scuba diving, you actually went underneath the water. It was a beautiful world and plenty of lots for the graphics of TS3. I was able to play in this world for over two years and write an epic TS3 story that took me nearly two years to complete without major issues because I used Twallan's mods to help with routing issues and things like that. It's sad that mods were even needed, but that is the only way I could play in it. The only reason I moved my Sims is because I was tired of IP, I had spent so much time working on my story in this world (and many others) that I wanted something different and fell in love with Sunlit Tides.
But yes, like I was saying bugs aside IP was a true expansion and there were several more things to do in it than IL. And I love IL and have been having a lot of fun making new Sulani natives, enjoying the island life, adding to the cultural aspect, and everything else it has to offer. I love the new world and the pack, but it does lack a lot of gameplay. However, I do love the option to have part-time and odd jobs along with OTG trait. I am now able to have some true beach bums and live out my Gilligan's Island fantasy in another save. LOL.
