Which iteration of The Sims did you start from?

I played SimCity a couple times waaaaay back in the 1900s and I was familiar with Sims 1, but didn't actually get a chance to play until Sims 2. I had a friend who owned almost everything, and when she moved on to Sims 3, she gave me her disks and deleted all her old stuff.

She ended up giving me her account information so I could play Sims 3, but eventually I bought it for myself. And I'd have stayed on Sims 3 forever if someone hadn't bought my daughter a copy of Sims 4!

Build mode, though. Sims 4 build mode is very, very nice.

A friend of my brother showed it to us and I'm hooked ever since (I was 13).

I started playing when I was 14. I was completely addicted to it. Spent hours locked in my room glued to my computer.

Used to watch my sis playing it but what really started me playing was makin' magic :blush: I was like 5 though :sweat_smile: I still remember being at store asking mom to buy it because the cover was so cool :joy: it still is though

I was about 10 when TS1 came out and I have been a simmer ever since. :)

The Sims 4 is the first Sims game I heard about. I was watching YouTube and I stumbled across a Sims 4 let's play. Best thing that ever happened to me! :)

I consider myself very lucky to have had the experience of the game when such things were so new and exciting. I don't think that feeling will ever be the same for newer generations. They expect perfection and I felt I was a partner in participating in a new experiment especially made for people like me then found that millions felt the same way.

Considering the cost of very slow internet cable speeds (I got cable in 1997), I think Sims 1 and 2 cost me more than the rest put together. With those, I remember so much time downloading programs and CC and waiting so long for it to arrive.
