Most of my Sims are hermits or homebodies so they only go to community lots if an aspiration requires it.
Out of the infrequent visits (and I'm not counting the vet clinic since it's either work for one Sim or sick pets for the others) it's usually either a park, a bar, or a nightclub. I do have a "clubhouse" that's technically a cafe that can be switched to a gym, but it's only recently that I started using the club system & going there.
