Restaurants probably have a slight edge. I have several with different decor and menu options and a lot of my sims do eat out when they're not completely buggy. Had to give them up for a while during the food stealing era. I have a few clubs that keep family members in touch by having them dine out together, plus I like lunch and dinner dates on occasion.
I have a nightclub surrounded by a graveyard that is probably my single most visited lot, but sometimes that's to bury a sim, sometimes to seek out ghosts, and sometimes just to dance.
Second most common category would be the entertainment venues in general - park, bar, lounge, nightclub, karaoke. Different families and age groups have different priorities in entertainment, and I rotate, so I can't say which I do more. Fame seekers go to lounges more, sims who like to sing do karaoke, children and toddlers go to parks, etc. Also I have social clubs that meet at several of these types.
Third would be workout and related venues - gyms, pools and spas. Often the features of these three types get combined in my game and which one they get categorized as may differ. My sims can't all afford workout equipment or pools, plus these make good club venues for active types.
Fourth is educational venues - I have clubs that meet at any museum and any library, but they aren't the clubs that meet often. Art centers get a little bit more use, but not much more. A lot of the stuff you can do at these lots can be done at home and aren't social activities.
National parks are rarely used outside of actually being on vacation. If you could set "any national park" as a club venue I'd use them more for nature clubs.
I go to the vet clinic when I have to, which is when I am out of wellness treats. Otherwise, vet clinics and retail are locations I will use when my sims own them but prefer not to visit.
