Which OR Potions Will Be Useful In Jungle Adventure

According to @SimGuruNinja some of the potions from the Outdoor Retreat Herbalism skill might come in handy while trekking through the jungle.

We've given you some new ways to prepare for and protect against the many dangers
you'll inevitably face. (Protip - Folks who have the Herbalism skill from Outdoor Retreat
also have useful recipes available to them)

Which ones do you think will be effective? I know some of them definitely don't apply but I just wanted to include them all.
Have your sims completed the Herbalism skill and brewed all the potions?

Insect Repellent Liniment
Prevents Bug bites while collecting insects

Sadness Alleviation Lotion
Removes Sadness moodlets

Deodorizing Cream
Refills hygiene bar

Soothing Skin Balm
Reduse or cure the effect of Itchy moodlets

De-Stressing Decoction
Removes Tense moodlets

Tummy Therapy
Removes stomach pain

Clear Mind Distillation
Gives +2 Focused Moodlet

Fireleaf Extract
Gives Sims an itch moodlet and they become uncomfortable for a long time

Natural Herbicide Oil
Prevents plants from getting weeds

Energizer Infusion
Gives +2 Energized Moodlet

Rage Relieving Salve
Removes Angry moodlets

Elixir of Fertility
Increase the chance of having twins or triplets

Fungal Infusion Fertilizer
A very strong fertilizer

Well I hope they give us a way more ways to collect the insects needed for potions because unless you have a cloning machine it is tiresome having to collect them in Granite Falls. We need something in the game to locate where the insects are in Granite falls so we don't spend so much time just looking around. And even now after all the time I have been playing I know the area's where they spawn and its time consuming waiting for the right ones you want to come along.

I suspect that we will be offered ways of buying the insects we need just like they introduced the buying of some fruit and veg or other ways of finding them.

This new Jungle Adventure seems to be similar to World Adventures in the Sims 3 but I have to say I am excited as I loved WA. Lets hope it lives up to expectations!

I think there will be new ways also to protect or help your sims built into the new pack. OR won't be needed I'm sure. It just makes these other ways useful also.. and that's the exciting part to me.
  • Insect Repellent Liniment

    And (probably surprising for some)...

    Natural Herbicide Oil
    Prevents plants from getting weeds

^ This concoction actually allows you to kill the brambles and pass through them without doing the riddle, I feel it might have a similar use for passing vine-covered doors/obstacles.

I agree especially if being Focused helps with using the Archaeology table. Possibly also the Soothing Skin Balm if you have to get into rough areas with poisonous plants and such.

There might be similar type of potions or such available for sale somewhere in the town; if you can brew up potions at home to take with you, that'll save some money on the trip.
  • I think I've got most of the Drugs, I just have 3 more. I just haven't played my Irish nor my Native American Families with the skill to craft in months :D

I think Soothing Skin balm, Insect Repellent, De-oderizing creme if you were spending the whole day in the tombs, and Fire leaf extract.

So that would mean some of the Experiments or tech crafted by Scientists could possibly be useful? I mean they're sort of the same thing...
    I think Snake Oil, Ghost Goo{Ghosts shouldn't be able to trigger traps}

And I feel like Vampires, and other future supernaturals should be Useful...
Using Bat form, Mist form, Supernatural speed, Commanding others to go into the tombs to avoid tripping traps yourself.

I know if I had my Magic back I would Burn all the Vine Barrier Obstacles to ash with my fireballs.
Use Cloud form to dodge traps.
Carry a few potions, to heal should I be Poisoned/Cursed.
  • 1 - Insect repellent liniment - (it almost looks like you might have to make a potion at the gate (with 4 bowls), and some type of bug might be an ingredient)
2 - Soothing skin balm - (it's a jungle! There's bound to be plants and bug bites that will be itchy!)
3 - Deodorizing creme - (don't wanna smell like a sweaty horse, do we?)
4 - Clear mind distillation - (so you can FOCUS on the ancient puzzles and stay alive!)
5 - Tummy therapy - (sickness? Hunger? Doesn't matter! When your mind is on your stomach, it's not on what you're doing!)
6 - Energizer infusion - (just got your second wind and ready to go an extra mile! Hope your partner can keep up!)
7 - De-stressing decoction - (your partner set off a trap! Now the walls are closing in, your partner is screaming for you to get them to stop, you're REALLY aggravated with the puzzle to turn it off - this not the time to "lose your head" )
  • Thanks for the great tips. I love OR so my gardeners are mostly herbalists too. I definitely will be stocking up on the most important ones, insect repellant, clear mind distillations, deodorant cream and probably skin balm too.

Thanks for the info, I did not know herbicide oil will kill weeds...awesome!
