Which packs to buy?

I've had all of the Sims 3 packs for years since I played them through my childhood and always asked for it for Christmas etc. I don't feel complete knowing I don't have all of the Sims 4 games, but since I don't play as often as I used to (and have to buy them myself as a responsible adult :( ) I haven't completed the collection. I'm slowly buying them however, so I was wondering which ones are the best? I have all expansions, all but Strangeville and Jungle Adventure game packs, and few stuff packs - Tiny Living, Backyard Stuff, Bowling Night and Luxury Party Stuff.

So you're missing most of the game packs? What kind of player are you? More of realistic? Do you like supernaturals? Do you focus on skills, careers and aspirations? Do you like family play?
  • @telmarina No, sorry. I have all game packs but Strangeville and Jungle Adventure. I mix it around a lot, but usually I'll have my sim build up their career, I like to have them complete their aspirations and they will always grow a family.
  • Out of all my SPs, I'd say ....

Best for BB: Tiny Living, Laundry Day, Fitness Stuff, Vintage Glamor, Backyard Stuff
Best for gameplay: Tiny Living, Movie Stuff, Laundry Day, Moschino, Bowling Stuff
Best for CAS: Tiny Living, Fitness Stuff, Moschino, Toddler Stuff, Vintage Glamor

All the rest I could probably miss even if there are bits I like about them too.

Forgot to add Backyard Stuff & Bowling - done! :D
I guess in short you could say, my absolute favorites are: Tiny Living, Fitness Stuff and Laundry Day.
  • I have to recommend Jungle Adventure. Selvadorada is a stunning world and I love the new skills and CAS/BB items. My sim has only recently started exploring the jungle and it is so fun and relaxing. As for your missing SPs, I personally really enjoy and often use Laundry Day, Toddler Stuff, and Movie Hangout, but they all have something to offer. It really depends on your own play style which packs will appeal to you the most. Perhaps check out the SimsVIP guides or some reviews if you haven't already done so to see which packs you are most drawn to.

Jungle Adventure on the game pack, while I like strangerville I never go there after beating the mini gameplay but I use a lot of its BB items in my builds. I'd have to say backyard stuff as I just like it. I use a lot of its stuff in my builds. Then there's bowling stuff that I use every once in a while when i take my sim family bowling for a family group outing.
  • Like both jungle and Strangerville. I would get all the game packs. They are mostly great.
  • Since you play with families, I'd recommend Kids Room Stuff. The CAS and build/buy are both great, and there are new activities and collectables for kids.

Laundry Day is also really good, especially the build/buy.
  • I also recommend Kids Room Stuff. I love all the voidcritter stuff and this pack is where it all started. You can train your voidcritter cards and collect them - even foil cards. The puppet theatre is also a nice objects and kids get a ton of clothing. Aside of Kids Room Stuff my favourite stuff packs are Movie Hangout and Laundry Day.
  • I started with the kid's and toddler packs, and all the game packs... and then I went ahead and just bought everything anyway. I feel like each of them has a little bit of something I need. Ridiculous amounts of chairs in my game now however. Happy Quarantine
