I think they mean because PC/Console would be the "platform" to play the game but Origin/Steam would be the "service" we use to get the game.
I know, but as I said I included Steam separately from the PC category as it's new and to see how many people use it instead of the standard PC/Mac client (Origin). Anyways that's really not the point of the thread so can we just overlook it instead of nitpicking trivial details :|- InuMiroLoverNew SpectatorOnly game I play on PC religiously. Im a filthy console peasant most days. xD
- The only correct way to play simulation games.
- PS4. I only began playing the Sims last year. I’m looking to switch to PC once I get a new laptop.
- Only consoles in this household are playstation 2 and nintendo NES mini sooo
not like there is even option
and even if there was id probably still very much prefer to just play on pc cause its originally pc game so like all the stuff just makes more sense
also I was never rich enough to even consider owning Mac
and i just use origin really - I don't have an alternative as of now but find it performs just as well as long as you have the storage space (obviously) goes fast and seems to do the job - can't part with my cc so definitely wouldn't use console but well done to those who do
- AquaGamer1212New SpectatorI’ve played on both laptop and MacBook but I’m currently back on my gaming laptop.
- Gamer_Cat24New TravelerI have the base game on my computer.
Since it can't handle it with both the Sims 2, Sims 3, and Sims 4 base game for long periods of time, I have play Sims 4 mostly on PS4.
Except for a few snags with the controllers, it is nice being to play it on a bigger screen, however, I am unable to use mods or cc like the PC version. - manicobsessive1Seasoned NewcomerYeah, PC all the way. I have a PS4 and play any other games on that. The Sims is the only game that I play on PC because I like to have some cc and mods. I find it a more comfortable way to play it as well because of the way it's played, selecting things and whatnot. I find that easier to do with a mouse.
- Brd709Seasoned VeteranI recently bought a Lenovo Legion gaming laptop and got back in to the game for the first time since 2018. Back then i only had Get to Work, City Living and Cool Kitchen Stuff installed on my old laptop. My old Dell Inspiron started shutting down during gameplay so i gave up on PC gaming for a while.
I tried playing the Sims 4 on my XBox One recently but trying to build a house on console i found a bit tedious because you have to click out of everything. On PC its much easier to use a mouse and drag the cursor around.
