- I love playing toddlers <3
- I voted for children. I just love this life stage. I like that they are a little more independent than toddlers and I love maxing out their skills and aspirations. I find achieving them quite fun and rewarding. And now I’ve bought seasons I’m looking forward to doing the scouts with them!!
I do like the way they’ve done toddlers in TS4. I like that they have their own little personalities and that the traits you pick for them and how you parent them starts to shape them at this early life stage. Though at the minute my two little terrors are giving me a headache. In TS3 toddlers were such a grind and not enjoyable at all. As soon as they achieved walking, talking and potty training I aged them up.
I find teens a little boring. I hope for a game pack specifically for teens to give them more activities and interactions. I want them to be a little bit more rebellious and have more things to do.
Love both adult life stages.
Elder is just meh. I like the interactions they have with their grandchildren but they are a little boring. I’d love to see more things for elders to do. - I just prefer the freedom of the YA stage, no forced schedules and things like that (much like in the real world)
Adults are equally enjoyable for me, there's virtually no difference other than appearance. - 1. Young Adult
2. Toddler and Child
I'm a generational player, but chose YA because that's when each Sim basically becomes himself/herself and has freedom to explore everything in the game. And that's also the age when they can start working on the next generation. :D That being said I equally love the child and toddler stages. - Teen is my second favorite.
- I like that they get a jump-start at adult skills by this lifestage
- LatinaBunnyNew SpectatorYoung Adult/Adult, because I am a young adult/adult, so I relate to their stuff more and because there is more content for that stage to play around with.
They also can live by themselves (with no worries about social workers taking them away) and can do all sorts of varied interactions. They can own property and can live however they like. - SimsBarbieNew Spectator

Young adult is where they are vacationing, getting married, exploring the dating options, partying at the clubs and bars, getting to the top of the careers, establishing friendships, etc. More entertaining for me.
Adults is where they are settling down and starting the next generation.
But if you wait till adult stage to start a family, won't the parents die before the child reaches young adult stage?
Not if you have aging off and use birthday cake to age the kids how you like. - anthonydyerSeasoned TravelerI'm probably biased as I am currently a young adult. I'm pretty much fine with anything YA and older. I don't like toddlers because they are pretty dependent on their adults and things can get restrictive. Children are more self-sufficient but they are restricted with the things you can do. For example, you cannot cook nor make drinks. Regarding children, there are not many children things to do, which makes children boring. Teens are much better, but they are stuck at school from 8 to 3 and there is no way out of it. In Sims 2 and Sims 3, teens had shorter school days which made school more bearable. I'm glad that there aren't many age restrictions set on teens.
- I chose YA, because in my game it's all about producing new babies, because I love how the genetics work. So obviously I play all life stages.
But for me, toddlers can get annoying after a while, especially if there are more than two in a household (I have lots of twins and triplets somehow).
Child life stage is lovely, they have some cute things to do, like void critters collecting and fighting, the puppet theater, going outside with friends etc. But they almost have no spare time, school goes until 3 p.m. (I guess, maybe 4 p.m.), they already come home tired, eating, getting fun up, homework, maybe scouts and bed time... I play on normal, but I feel, children have no time.
Teens are almost the same with children, but they can date. I don't like, that they can't sneak out like Sims 2 (I guess) and I don't like that they almost are like adults. It feels like 4 adult stages in Sims 4 :( I wish they still can do void critter stuff^^
