I chose YA, because in my game it's all about producing new babies, because I love how the genetics work. So obviously I play all life stages.
But for me, toddlers can get annoying after a while, especially if there are more than two in a household (I have lots of twins and triplets somehow).
Child life stage is lovely, they have some cute things to do, like void critters collecting and fighting, the puppet theater, going outside with friends etc. But they almost have no spare time, school goes until 3 p.m. (I guess, maybe 4 p.m.), they already come home tired, eating, getting fun up, homework, maybe scouts and bed time... I play on normal, but I feel, children have no time.
Teens are almost the same with children, but they can date. I don't like, that they can't sneak out like Sims 2 (I guess) and I don't like that they almost are like adults. It feels like 4 adult stages in Sims 4 :( I wish they still can do void critter stuff^^
