Which Sims Expansion Pack Really Wasn't Worth It

Windenburg is great, and I love the Sims that come with it. The CAS is great. But basing an ENTIRE expansion pack on clubs? Useless.

I bought Seasons because I thought it came with aliens and I stupidly didn't think to check.

I used the calendar system a few times but other than that, weather is just an inconvenience.

If an expansion pack doesn't come with a new neighbourhood it's automatically not worth it to me.

Honestly, I like all of them because I love more content for my games. Do I think the prices are justified? Not really, but that's just how she goes, I guess.

I mean, I wouldn't say that any of the EPs were completely unworthy, but some of them seem to fall a little flat for the cost.

I chose City Living because apartments aren't flexible or buildable and are confined to one spot, in San Myshuno. And while I do enjoy them, I really could use them in other worlds because I'm running out of space. The festivals just fell flat for me and became the vortex of bad fashion, the bubble blower is never used autonomously, and I can't stand the talking toilet because Sims gravitate to that thing wherever it is. (Seriously, why?? But not the bubble blower? Really?!) Karaoke is good. I also really only like the Spice District and never use the city park (replacing soon) because the aesthetic of the place is all wrong for me.

But I also agree that Get Together didn't make sense. Aside from the big world, it feels like a Game Pack, as does Island Living. I would recommend getting these three packs only during a sale, for those who are frugal buyers.

I think I got GTW super on sale because I liked an acrylic and gold chair in BB ? The gameplay of following one Simmie around time its job doesn’t really suit how I typically play so sadly I haven’t been able to tour all of the features yet. I liked the Doctor career at first but it got old quickly. I got jammed up in Detective when I arrested Baby Ariel ?? I guess the game didn’t like that.

I voted for GTW because I don't like the pairing of aliens with the playable careers. I think this would have been better if both concepts were separate. I wouldn't say that this wasn't worth it though and it was also one of the earliest packs.

I think it's worth reading about what you are getting and it's a good idea to make up your own mind. I don't really regret anything. I also haven't bought all of the content at full price. I surfed a fair amount of sales and bundles.

I said this elsewhere but IL is more of a GP than an EP to me but if you get it on sale then I still think it is worth it. It's a great world and I like having a residential world that is so different from the others. Get Famous is very fun. It would be better with a more developed world but I don't regret it since I wanted to play with my own fame-seekers and I really like the acting career.

I don't form my opinions based on those of others but I do look at information before I decide whether to get content and at what price. Some content that I've gotten was definitely "bundle-only". I typically review all of the cas/bb and I find out as much as I can about the gameplay as well as how I'll specifically use it. I also took a break for over a year for unrelated reasons then came back during a sale.

I like all the packs so all were worth it to me. The more options my game has the better and more fun it is.

island living was fun the first time i played with it but i never really use it. However it is really good for challenges and I like the careers that came with it,

I think all of the EPs have been worth it for me personally. There may be some things I would have liked done differently or added, but they have all added something to my game. My least favourite is Get Famous, but that's because I'm not particularly interested in the fame theme rather than it being a bad EP.
