- DaWaterRat6 years agoSeasoned AceI actually meant to click Get Together, but thinking about it, I think my subconscious went with Get Famous as my actual least used EP. I mean, fame is fun up to a point, but it can get in the way too. I only go to Del Sol valley when invited there or when in the Actor career, and a good half of build/buy and CAS are just... either too much for my usual aesthetic or too specific for general use.
With Get Together, I may hardly use the Clubs feature (Okay, my views may be soured by being reprimanded for doing an approved club activity because the meeting was in someone's house in my first trial with clubs), but at least I enjoy Windenburg as a world in addition to the Build/Buy and CAS assets. - Karamazov1236 years agoSeasoned AceGet to Work is weak, but I can forgive it because it was the first EP. The retail system is infinitely inferior to the latter restaurant system of Dine Out, and running a store isn't fun. But it's nice having stores for your sims to visit.
C&D is basically like other pet packs, except with less pets. The vet career and Brindleton Bay are its saving points, but even then this pack feels more shallow than what we got in the past.
Island Living, meanwhile, is just... there. Sulani is nice, but small. And there's nothing to do there once you've tried swimming around. Conservation stuff is barely noticable, and nearly everything about the pack was done better in Sims 3. The Aspiration they made to help you through the pack is insanely shallow, which just goes to show you how little there is to do with Sulani. It's a great place for immersion and vacations, but it's not worth the price of an EP. - It was a tie between Island Living and Get Famous for me. The celebrities are just annoying, I hate it when one shows up in a public space and my sim goes to freak out over them and I can't even cancel it. I also haven't really played with the acting career, I did a few gigs with one sim and it got really repetitive, not to mention when your sim gets mildly famous they develop those stupid quirks that are hard to get rid of. My 100 Baby Challenge matriarch got one from her books and I couldn't get rid of it, idk if that bug's been fixed but it was really annoying. However, I do like a lot of the BB and CAS items and use them quite a bit.
Now, with Island Living, the world is beautiful, but the gameplay gets quite boring after a few minutes. I rarely have my sims go to Sulani, the most recent was just because I wanted them to have a pretty place to get married. I also like some of the BB and CAS items in this pack, too, but I feel like a lot of them can't be used outside of Sulani, not to mention townies love wearing them in the most ridiculous outfits possible. - Get Famous. The world is an afterthought and the celebrity thing gets old FAST.
It was the pack that broke the proverbial camel’s back for me. I haven’t purchased anything since then. - Get Famous. Unless you plan on making a lot of your sims celebrities, the pack has little replay value. I did it once and had no desire to ever do it again. I just don't find it to be a pack that'll be used more than once unless you're really into the celebrity lifestyle thing. Also, unless you play the acting career, it's incredibly tedious to earn fame. Del Smol Valley is also probably the weirdest world. The lot sizes are just awkward and there's way too little space to actually do anything. CAS and BB is good, but nothing special to warrant paying full price for this pack.
- Wndblwz6 years agoSeasoned AceWhile it generally/usually comes down to personal preferences, I find Get Famous least beneficial although I enjoy the additional careers.
- ValiantRedKnight6 years agoSeasoned AceI find the pets stressful to play. I also don’t like all the presents or whatever unplayed dogs find in that neighborhood.
- I found seasons woefully overpriced for what amounted to small lines of coding to give weather effects, in addition to some clothing choices. It has been one pack i found i regretted buying even at half price. It didn't offer anything substantial at all and should of been made a game pack instead, at least when it is half price at that point as a game pack, it could be considered reasonable to get.
- Lustianicia6 years agoSeasoned Ace'City Living' came with a lot of disappointments... starting with the fact that we can't build our own apartments (yes, I know they said this ahead of time, but that still doesn't change my opinion on this).
- Kimmer_one6 years agoSeasoned AceI like them all, but I hardly ever move my Sims to city. There are a lot of annoyances, especially the thing that I can't fast forward the game when there are neighbors standing in the hallway during the night.
Festivals are quite boring. Romance festival would be much more fun if there were single Sims to romance with, but the only Sims to attend the festival are married (Bjergsens, Landgraabs, Fyres etc).
However, I do like the atmosphere of San Myshuno and I like to visit there with my Sims, I just don't like them to live in there.
