Seasons seems very popular, in general.
A lot of folks seem to enjoy Vampires (but I think they are creepy).
Cats & Dogs seems to have a very popular World as its setting.
Get Together also gets a lot of positive mentions.
My best advice would be to think of what you enjoy in The Sims generally, and go look over pack reviews at, say, Carl's. He does very thorough feature overviews that give a good idea of what each pack entails.
