Which TS4 packs have really surprised you?

I was wondering do you have any packs that you thought you wouldn't like, but then when you played them it turned out that they are actually good? Or is there a pack that you thought you would like, but then for some reason or another didn't?

Before I bought Luxury Party I thought it was quite a bad stuff pack, but it turned out I really love the dresses and other clothes in it. The shoes are one of my favourites and the eye make up is good too!

  • Some that pop on my head:

    Highschoool Years - I didn't expect to like it much and I also know it's not one of the most popular packs, but I love the gameplay ;_;

    Enchanted by Nature - I wasn't too excited by faeries but turns out they're my favourite occult? (or weres but anyway, no shame on being second favourite)

    • Lovestruck (I really had no intention of getting this pack originally) - I don't really play couples/relationships much but even if I play 1 couple, having Lovestruck is like night and day for depth.
    • RoM (I mean I was only slightly skeptical for this pack) - I didn't really play witches in Sims 3 but I have to have my main as a Practical Magic Spellcaster in Sims 4. I still crutch a lot of CAS items on my main the eyeliner, glitter face makeup, accessories, etc.
    • EbN (Honestly, I think I originally was only excited for tabletop plant pots, other BB and the world (we are short on full fantasy worlds)) - BUT I am not a fairy fan, never played them in Sims 3, and I don't still in Sims 4. The Natural Living Skill and Actions, Apothecary Skill and Naturopath Career completely won me over for this pack! Plus I love Mystical, Disruptive and Plant Lover traits sooo much!
  • The pack that surprised me the most was the Fairy pack because I don't recall playing fairies very much in previous Sims games, but I liked some of other pack features so I figured I'd get some use out of the pack even if I didn't play fairies much, so it came as a huge surprise to me when I realized how much I love the fairies themselves. I think it's my favorite occult to play now. Every one of my current families now has at least one fairy. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿงšโ€โ™€๏ธ

    I like them best of all the premades. At least out of the few I have left. ๐Ÿ˜€

    Iโ€™m usually sorta meh about the premade households. But I really enjoy the ones in Chestnut Ridge. Especially Juniper Grove. ๐Ÿ˜Š

    Same for me, I didn't know how much I'd enjoy it until I created my test sims for it. It's perfect โ˜บ๏ธ

  • Lovestruck. I originally thought I have no use for it, but I really love the world and all animations it brought ๐Ÿ˜Š

  • For me it was Realm of Magic. I'm not technically an occult player but I love the Spellcaster features. The cauldrons, brooms, wands, spells, and especially potion making.

    My main sim, Julianna, who I've been playing for years, is a Spellcaster. ๐Ÿ’š

  • Horse Ranch.

    I wasnโ€™t sure how much play I would get out of it. But once I got busy playing itโ€™s become one of my all time favorites, and not just TS4. Chestnut Ridge, horses, nectar making, I love it all.
