In all likelihood you are right - it was a power struggle, maybe political extremism.
Seriously though, the most bizarre thing @imhappy typed was that Hugo stole from Ulrike's house. Then in their next post it was specified that as far as money goes, Villareals and Fyres have the most in town.
If somebody were to resort to robbery, why would they steal from somebody who has less than them?
The thrill of the steal maybe? A cover? My instinct keeps saying it was motivated by a thirst for power. "Power corrupts and absolute power, corrupts absolutely."
Or we could go the Pretty Little Liars route, and maybe Siobhan had dirt on her murderer? Another far-fetched theory.
I think I've watched entirely too much Prodigal Son. :#
