Bjorn was sleeping during the murder. He and the Villarials have a very antagonistic relationship. This is the biggest case Windenburg has ever seen. And since Bjorn is friends with Ulrike, he doesn’t think she committed murder and therefore didn’t search her home.
Everyone is clamoring for a new Mayor. A murder happened! We need change.
I think Bjorn’s daughter is friends with Siobhan. He has nothing against the victim. Bjorn considers himself a good family man and may have been suspicious of Sergio when he heard about the love trist with Hunnington.
Let’s face it.. Bjorn’s not the best detective. But this case is really difficult. Does that mean he should get fired when a new mayor comes in? And who says a new mayor will be better?
